Abstract
The article highlights the life and scientific-pedagogical activities of Nikolai Vladimirovich Pravdin — an outstanding scientist, professor, and Honored Scientist and Engineer of the BSSR, who made a significant contribution to the theory and practice of railway station and hub design. His role as the founder of the Belarusian school of station specialists, organizer of research, and inter-university collaboration is emphasized. Key achievements are presented: over 500 scientific papers, 20 textbooks, and the training of 40 doctors and candidates of sciences. The author underscores the uniqueness of his teaching style, combining scientific rigor with an artistic perception of engineering, as well as his literary work and philosophical views on transport, education, and ethics. Special attention is given to the humanistic aspect of his personality — his ability to inspire, educate, and transmit not only knowledge but also spiritual values. The article is commemorative, dedicated to the centenary of the scientist’s birth.
