The initiator of the creation of a magazine covering secondary vocational education and training for land transport was Alexander Yuryevich Panychev, rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Railways named after Emperor Alexander I. The idea was supported by Olga Vladimirovna Starykh, director of the Educational and instructional center for railway transportation. The signing of the Agreement between the founders and the editor-in-chief of the journal, Irina Sergeyevna Skovorodina, on the procedure and conditions for the publication of the journal “Transport technician: education and practice” was held on November 21, 2019 within of the XIII International Exhibition “Transport of Russia” in Moscow.
