Abstract
Training of demanded, competitive personnel is the main task of every educational organization. The training of future specialists should be focused on long-term employment relationships and the development of a professional career in railway transport. To achieve these goals, the structural subdivision of secondary vocational education of the Velikoluksky branch of PGUPS has developed and constantly operates the necessary legal framework related to the high-quality training of future railway workers.
This article discusses the basic principles of organizing career guidance events held not only in schools of the city, district, region, but also in nearby regions, CIS countries; practical training aimed at developing students’ professional skills and abilities at various stages of professional training; a system of employment of graduates, built on mutually beneficial partnerships with enterprises; educational activities aimed at the formation of active adaptation in the chosen field of activity; participation in professional skill competitions that increase the prestige of their specialty and thus also ensure the functioning of the employment system and partnerships with enterprises, and as a result — guaranteed employment, qualified performance of their duties and rapid career growth.
