Professor of the Department of Transport Economics at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "St. Petersburg State University of Railways of Emperor Alexander I", Dr. Sci. (Eng.), Associate Professor.

Research interests: methodology of economic evaluation of IT project implementation in transport systems, specializing in the economic evaluation of digital platforms for organizing multimodal freight transportation schemes. His research interests also include the development of econometric and multi-agent models within the framework of the technical and economic justification for the implementation of individual digital technologies (artificial intelligence, big data, distributed ledgers for interaction between transport participants) to improve the operational and management processes of transport participants.

He is a disciple of Natalia A. Zhuravleva, Honorary Railway Worker of Russia, full member of the Russian Academy of Transport, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor. He has solved the scientific problem of increasing the efficiency of organizing and managing freight transportation based on digital platforms, optimizing the timing and cost of cargo delivery through electronic interaction of transport participants, which is of great socio-economic importance for the transport industry of our country, national and international commodity markets, and the development of the Russian economy in the process of implementing digital transformation projects and programs.

His dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences was defended in 2009 in the specialty 08.00.05 – "Economics and Management of the National Economy" (management of innovation and investment activity) on the topic "Cluster approach as a direction of innovative development of the machine-building complex". The dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences was defended in 2025 in the specialty 5.2.3 – "Regional and Sectoral Economics" (transport and logistics) on the topic "Theory and Methodology of Economic Evaluation of Digital Platform Solutions in the Field of Multimodal Freight Transportation Based on Rail Transport".

He has more than 200 scientific publications, including: 110 articles in Russian journals from the current list of the Higher Attestation Commission, 13 foreign publications (Scopus, Web of Science), 4 monographs, and 3 textbooks.
